The program, which started with the morning prayer held at the Hacı Bayram Veli Tomb in the morning hours, included a visit to the office of the National Commission President Hulusi Akar by veterans and relatives of martyrs. Akar expressed his satisfaction with the visits of the veterans and relatives of martyrs, giving the message, "We are always with you."
The second stop of the ŞEGAFED delegation, which met with many members of parliament including Istanbul 1st Region Deputy Yahya Çelik and Security and Intelligence Commission Chairman Veysel Tipioğlu, was the July 15 Martyrs and Democracy Museum. Veterans and relatives of martyrs experienced emotional moments while listening to the story of twin police brothers Ahmet and Mehmet Oruç, who were heroes of the July 15 epic. Some veterans, who listened to the story of the brothers who were inseparable and fell as martyrs on the same day they were born, could not hold back their tears.
