A person painting the exterior of their house in Sarıyer checked a bag they saw in the backyard. They then noticed that the bag contained long-barreled weapons. REPORTED THE SITUATION TO THE POLICE TEAMS
The incident occurred yesterday at around 16:00 in Fatih Sultan Mehmet Neighborhood. According to information obtained, N.E. (57), who was painting the exterior of their house, noticed a black bag in the backyard. After opening and checking the bag, N.E. saw long-barreled weapons inside and reported the situation to the police teams.
AN ARSENAL EMERGED FROM THE BAG
Upon the notification, police arrived at the address and took security measures around the garden. The street entrances and exits were closed off with security tape. It was learned that during the teams' inspections, 3 Kalashnikovs, 3 magazines, and 2 hand grenades were found in the bag. The seized ammunition was taken into custody by the police teams.
