A person who escaped after being granted leave from an open prison where he was serving a sentence four months ago in Konya was caught red-handed in a villa.
Abdullah Çokkaynar, who was sentenced to life imprisonment and 23 years in prison for the crime of 'intentional killing' in Konya, was captured four months after escaping while serving his sentence at a prison.
The teams of the Missing Persons Bureau of the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch initiated a search for Abdullah Çokkaynar, who had been sentenced to life imprisonment and 23 years in prison for 'intentional killing' after he did not return from a leave granted from the open prison where he was serving his sentence four months ago.
THEY JUMPED OVER THE WALL AND ENTERED THE VILLA
The police determined that Çokkaynar, who constantly changed addresses to avoid capture, was hiding in a villa belonging to his son on Bilgehan Street in the Kozağaç neighborhood. In the operation carried out, the police jumped over a 3-meter high garden wall and entered the villa, capturing the suspect Çokkaynar.
Abdullah Çokkaynar will be sent to the courthouse after his procedures at the police station.
