Ebru Küçüktaşdemir (45), a Science Teacher with two children from a previous marriage, encountered her estranged husband Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir at the entrance of the apartment where she had gone to give private lessons to a female student. After talking for a while, a dispute broke out between them. As the argument escalated, Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir stabbed his wife Ebru Küçüktaşdemir 18 times in various parts of her body. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of those nearby. Ebru Küçüktaşdemir, lying in a pool of blood, was taken to Konya Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. Despite being treated, Küçüktaşdemir could not be saved. Following the incident, Abdullah Küçüktaşdemir was detained by the police.
