A foreign national who entered a tire shop in Antalya took a tag hanging at the door, which featured an image of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, showed it to the shop owner with a mocking attitude, and asked why it was hanging at the door. He then threw the tag on the ground, spilled the water in his mouth, and stomped on it multiple times with his foot. Seeing Sevinç rushing towards him, a person identified as A.A. began to run away from the shop. Before he could get far, he was caught and detained. It was learned that A.A. was a foreign national, and he was photographed in handcuffs in front of the Atatürk picture at the police station, and after processing, he was referred to the courthouse and arrested. On 13.11.2024, it was observed that some press/publication organizations and social media accounts published news and posts titled "Ugly Attack on Atatürk's Image in Antalya." In the investigations conducted by our police department units, it was determined that the ugly attack was carried out by a foreign national named A.A. at a workplace located in the Güzeloba neighborhood of the Muratpaşa district on 12.11.2024, and the suspect was detained the SAME DAY. The suspect A.A. was ARRESTED on 14.11.2024 by the judicial authorities he was referred to, under the charge of violating Law No. 5816 regarding crimes committed against Atatürk.
