Imam Tarık Karadağ (46), who was stabbed to death by M.A. (16) during an argument in Adana, was buried. M.A., who was referred to the courthouse, claimed that he stabbed Karadağ because he had allegedly harassed his 14-year-old sister, F.A. The incident occurred yesterday around 3:00 PM in the Sinanpaşa neighborhood of the Yüreğir district. A dispute broke out between Imam Tarık Karadağ of the Fetahmet Gülşen Mosque and M.A., whom he encountered on the street. During the altercation, M.A. took out a knife from his pocket and stabbed Karadağ in the abdomen and back before fleeing. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene following a report from bystanders. After the initial intervention, Karadağ was taken to Yüreğir State Hospital, where he later died. The teams from the Yüreğir District Police Department's Crime Prevention and Investigation Bureau captured the suspect M.A. in a nearby street. FAREWELL TO HIS LAST JOURNEYTarık Karadağ's body was taken by his relatives from the morgue of the Adana Forensic Medicine Institution and brought to Buruk Cemetery. After obtaining permission for the funeral, a prayer was held, and Karadağ was buried. His father, who was seen struggling to stand, bid farewell to his son’s body with a kiss. It was reported that Tarık Karadağ, who was married and had two children, lost his 18-year-old daughter to cancer the previous year. DECISION OF NON-PROSECUTION IN HARASSMENT INVESTIGATIONAfter the procedures at the Homicide Bureau, the suspect M.A. was taken to the Child Branch Directorate, where he claimed that his 14-year-old sister F.A. had been harassed by Karadağ. It was stated that a decision of non-prosecution was made regarding the incident following the investigation initiated by the family's complaint. After the procedures at the police station, the suspect M.A. was referred to the courthouse.
