A Galatasaray fan driving on the road in front of Fenerbahçe Ülker Stadium stopped his car and started making hand gestures. In response, he became angry at the security guard who came to warn him and dragged the guard several meters on the hood of his car. MADE HAND GESTURES TOWARDS THE STADIUM
According to a report on Ekol TV; on April 21, a person named Okan U. (49) stopped in front of Ülker Stadium in Kadıköy and got out of his vehicle. Okan U., who was recording a video with his mobile phone, stated that he was a Galatasaray fan and made hand gestures towards the stadium, recording these images on his phone.
DRAGGED THE SECURITY GUARD METERS AFTER INTERVENING
After the provocative act, security officer Abdulkadir G. (35) approached the suspect to intervene. However, Okan U., who was angered by the security guard, quickly got back into his vehicle and drove towards the security officer. The security guard, who tried to hold onto the hood, was dragged along with the car for about 100 meters and then threw himself to the ground to escape. The security officer was rescued with the help of nearby citizens, while the suspect quickly fled the scene.

After the incident, Okan U. was quickly captured and taken into custody as part of the investigation initiated by the Anadolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Sports Crimes Investigation Bureau. In his statement, he said, "I'm a Galatasaray fan, I made a middle finger gesture in a moment of excitement when I saw the stadium and recorded a video. I did something very silly, I regret it."
HOUSE ARREST AND STADIUM BAN
The suspect was sentenced to 45 days of house arrest for "violence and insult in sports." Additionally, he was banned from attending his team's matches as a spectator for one year. During this period, he is also required to go to the police station to sign on match days.
REQUEST FOR UP TO 4 YEARS AND 6 MONTHS OF IMPRISONMENT
After the completion of the investigation, the indictment prepared requested a total of up to 4 years and 6 months of imprisonment for Okan U. on charges of "insult" and "intentional injury." The trial is expected to take place in the coming days.
