The incident occurred recently on Melodi Street in the Şirintepe neighborhood. According to the information obtained, a street dog lying right by the side of the road was run over by a vehicle with an Istanbul license plate.

The injured dog, cared for by the locals, was taken to the shelter for treatment by the Tepebaşı Municipality teams who arrived at the scene upon notification. It was learned that a report was filed by the police regarding the incident, which was captured second by second on security cameras, and the file was sent to the Eskişehir Prosecutor's Office.

The Eskişehir Association for the Defense of Children's and Animal Rights stated that they will file a criminal complaint with the Eskişehir Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the matter. In a statement made by the association officials, it was said, "This person, who intentionally tried to kill a living being, has been walking around freely for days. Our biggest wish is for him to be caught soon and receive the necessary punishment. We will follow up on the incident." It has been reported that the unfortunate dog, which has fractures, is continuing its treatment at the shelter.
