TURNED TO TEXTILES AFTER FATHER'S TRADE PASSED AWAY
Stating that they started with 20 employees at the beginning, Avcı mentioned that the production network quickly spread across the country. He expressed that he continued the quilt-making business he inherited from his father for 45 years, but turned to textiles after realizing that the profession was no longer sustainable.
GOAL IS A LARGE PRODUCTION AREA WITH 100 EMPLOYEES
He shared that he initially made his first stitches on special orders, and as they were well received, he expanded the business and now produces with 15-20 employees. Avcı stated that the facility is 1,500 square meters and expressed his goal of establishing a larger production area where 100 people will work in the future. Emphasizing that they did not expect such rapid growth in six to seven months, Avcı mentioned that he has not completely abandoned quilt-making and still stitches quilts by hand when special orders come in.
"MY GOAL IS TO ESTABLISH A LARGER FACTORY"
Avcı stated, "My father's profession was quilt-making. I did this job for 45 years. However, after a certain age, I realized that quilt-making could not be sustained, and I wanted to turn to textiles. I made my first stitches as special orders, and they were well received. Based on that, I expanded the business. Currently, we have 15-20 employees. The demands are good. My goal is to establish a larger factory."
"WE DID NOT EXPECT SUCH RAPID GROWTH"
Stating that they produce for many provinces in Turkey, Avcı said: "This is a 1,500 square meter facility. I want to create a large area where 100 people will work in the future. It has been six to seven months since we started, and we did not expect such rapid growth."
EXPORTING TO BALKAN COUNTRIES
Avcı also expressed that he has not completely abandoned quilt-making, stating that he still stitches quilts by hand when there are special orders. He mentioned that they produce for many provinces in Turkey, especially sending workwear to many places, starting with Hatay, and that discussions are ongoing with Georgia, and exports are also being made to Balkan countries.
