He terrified his wife who was in the process of divorce! The woman, who was shot on her way to work, lost her life.

In Pendik, Istanbul, Vedat Bıçak shot his wife in the middle of the street during the divorce process. The woman, who was seriously injured, died in the hospital, while the attacker first went up to his house and threatened the surroundings, then escaped and disappeared.

THEY SEPARATED THEIR HOUSES DUE TO SEVERE INCOMPATIBILITY

The incident took place today at 07:30 in Dumlupınar Neighborhood. Safiye Bıçak, a 46-year-old mother of two, had a severe incompatibility with her 48-year-old husband Vedat Bıçak. Vedat Bıçak had moved to his mother's apartment on the floor above the apartment where he had been living with his wife for about 2 months.

HE SHOT HIS WIFE WHO WAS LEAVING HOME TO GO TO WORK

Today in the morning, Safiye Bıçak started walking on the sidewalk across their house with her brother to go to work. While Safiye Bıçak was going to throw garbage into the container on the sidewalk, Vedat Bıçak approached her and shot her several times. The woman collapsed on the ground covered in blood, while the suspect entered the building, went up to his house, and threatened the surroundings from the window. Then he fled from the scene.

MOTHER OF 2 CHILDREN DIED IN THE HOSPITAL

The residents of the neighborhood who heard the gunshots reported to the police. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Health teams took Safiye Bıçak to the hospital by ambulance. Despite all the interventions made there, Bıçak could not be saved. The teams, who took security measures in the surrounding area and conducted an investigation, started working to capture the fleeing suspect.

"'DON'T COME NEAR, I WILL KILL YOU' HE WAS SHOUTING"

Resident of the neighborhood, Şenay Yelden, said, "We went out when we heard the gunshots, we didn't understand what was happening. I saw the woman lying on the ground. Her husband was shouting from the upper floor, 'Don't come near, I will kill you all.' Then the ambulance arrived. Her husband was the one who killed her. They used to fight frequently. Her husband was drinking alcohol. I think he was a drug addict. We only saw the woman lying on the ground. She was going to work with her brother in the morning. She said she would throw the garbage. Her husband was following her. He came down from upstairs. He fired the gun and went back upstairs. He continued to threaten. The deceased woman lived downstairs. The other one lived upstairs. They have 2 children, a girl and a boy," describing the events.

Speaking about the incident, neighborhood headman Hasgül Kaya said, "They had a problem between them for a while. This morning, this incident happened. We are very sorry for such an incident happening in our neighborhood."
