A Turkish citizen who was wanted by Interpol with a "red notice" for the murder of his wife in Germany 19 years ago has been captured in Antalya.

According to the statement made by the Governorship, the Provincial Police Department initiated an investigation regarding the murder of German citizen Angelika Cristina Aydın in 2005 and the red notice issued by Interpol for her husband Nasif Aydın for the crime of "premeditated murder with monstrous feeling or torture".

Aydın, who was determined to be staying at a hotel in the Konyaaltı district under the name A.G., was captured in an operation. The suspect was sent to the courthouse and then to prison. In his statement, the suspect said that he met Angelika Cristina Aydın in Turkey and they got married in Germany and stayed married for a while.
