FINALIZED 2-YEAR PRISON SENTENCE REVEALED
The incident occurred in the Pınarbaşı neighborhood. Citizens who saw a person driving an electric motorcycle with license plate 09 ASJ 015, weaving uncontrollably on the street, reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Acting on the report, teams pursued the driver. The suspect driver was stopped by Nazilli District Police Department teams on 118th Street in the Pınarbaşı neighborhood. During the inspection, the driver, who was seen struggling to even stand and was found to have a blood alcohol level of 250 promil, was also determined, upon questioning, to be wanted with a finalized 2-year prison sentence for various crimes.
250 PROMIL ALCOHOL LEVEL FOUND
The widely discussed part of the incident was the driver's response to a question. When asked, "Did you drink alcohol?", K.Ö. first replied "No," but then said, "I eat and drink just like you. Whatever you drink, I drink too," causing astonishment and drawing reactions from those around.
A total administrative fine of 133,000 TL was imposed on the driver for various offenses. The driver's license was confiscated, and the motorcycle was impounded and towed to a parking lot. K.Ö. was taken into custody and brought to the police station for processing.
