In the Karşıyaka district of Izmir, 15-year-old middle school student Erdem Demir, who was seriously injured in a fight on the beach, died in the hospital where he was taken. C.C., 18, and D.K., 19, who were detained in connection with the incident, were arrested and sent to prison on charges of "intentional killing."
In the Karsiyaka district of Izmir, a fight that broke out on the coastal strip two days ago ended in death. According to allegations, the argument, which began due to a pre-existing feud between the parties, quickly escalated into a brawl.
During the fight, 18-year-old C.C. allegedly used a cutting tool he had with him to seriously injure Erdem Demir, an 8th-grade student at Karsiyaka Fevzipasa Middle School. It was reported that D.K., 19, who was with C.C. during the incident, also joined the fight.
HE LOST HIS LIFE STRUGGLE IN THE HOSPITAL
Upon notification by nearby citizens, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Seriously injured Erdem Demir was taken to a private hospital by ambulance after initial medical intervention.
The 15-year-old student, who was under treatment, passed away despite all efforts by the doctors.
TWO SUSPECTS ARRESTED
Following the incident, police teams launched an investigation and detained C.C., identified as the perpetrator of the murder, and D.K., found to have been involved in the fight.
After completion of procedures at the police station, the two suspects were referred to the courthouse and were arrested on charges of "intentional murder" by the court and sent to prison.
