A foreign national wearing military camouflage while using public transportation in Istanbul was detained. It has been learned that the individual, who is being processed, will be deported.

A foreign suspect, who was seen traveling on public transport in military camouflage clothing and whose images were shared on social media, was detained in Beylikdüzü. It was announced that the person, who is being processed for the crime of "using unauthorized public clothing or insignia," will be deported.

AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED

According to the information obtained, images of a person wearing military camouflage and speaking in a language other than Turkish while traveling on public transport were shared on social media. Following this, the Istanbul Directorate of Migration Smuggling and Border Gates initiated an investigation. The police, who identified the identity of the person in camouflage, detained the suspect in Beylikdüzü.

WILL BE DEPORTED

According to a statement from the Istanbul Police Department, the suspect is being processed for the crime of "using unauthorized public clothing or insignia." The statement noted that the suspect will be handed over to the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Migration for deportation procedures.
