Upon a report that 17-year-old Boran Öner fell into the lake in the port area of Edremit district of Van last evening, maritime police, coast guard, police divers, and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

LIFELESS BODY PULLED FROM THE WATER

When no results were obtained from the search operations initiated in the evening, the teams restarted the work early in the morning. As a result of coordinated efforts by the maritime police, Coast Guard, Van Lake Group Command, and diving teams, Boran Öner's lifeless body was pulled from the water.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

While Öner's body was taken to the morgue for autopsy procedures, it was stated that after the procedures, it would be delivered to his family. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
