A funeral ceremony was held for Infantry Sergeant Major Fikret Mangura, one of the soldiers who was martyred due to methane gas poisoning in a cave during the Pençe-Kilit Operation. During the ceremony, the sight of the soldier's 6-year-old daughter, Deniz Ece, looking at her father's coffin broke hearts. The soldier's father, who is suffering from cancer, was brought to the ceremony on a stretcher that could be managed with the assistance of medical teams.

A funeral ceremony was held for Infantry Commando Sergeant Major Fikret Mangura (37), who was martyred after being exposed to methane gas in a cave they entered during the Pençe-Kilit Operation in northern Iraq, at the Yeni Mosque in Akhisar district of Manisa.
The ceremony was attended by Manisa Governor Vahdettin Özkan, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Abdulkadir Polat, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman and Manisa Deputy Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu, İYİ Party Manisa Deputy Şenol Sunat, İYİ Party Deputy Chairman Cenk Özatıcı, Aegean Army Command Deputy General Emre Tayanç, Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Besim Dutlulu, military officials, representatives of civil society organizations, family, relatives, and many citizens.
FATHER WITH CANCER BROUGHT ON A STRETCHER
At the ceremony, the martyr's mother Misliye Ozan and wife Melahat Mangura experienced great sorrow. The martyr Mangura's father Vasfi Mangura (65), who was undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer at Manisa Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital, was brought to the ceremony on a stretcher accompanied by medical teams.
DAUGHTER'S LOOK AT HER FATHER'S COFFIN BROKE HEARTS
The martyr's mother, father, brother, wife, and little daughter hugged and kissed the coffin, bursting into tears. The 6-year-old daughter of Mangura, Deniz Ece, looking at her father's coffin broke hearts. Before the funeral prayer, little Deniz was given her father's military beret.
THE MARTYR'S BROTHER WIPED THE SWEAT OF THE SOLDIERS
The martyr's brother Nihat Mangura wiped the sweating faces of the soldiers waiting by his brother Mangura's coffin with a napkin.
HIS BODY WAS SENT TO SEFERİHİSAR FOR BURIAL
After the funeral prayer led by Manisa Provincial Mufti Şükrü Kabukçu, the martyr's coffin wrapped in the Turkish flag was carried on the shoulders of soldiers to the funeral vehicle. Mangura's body was taken to the Seferihisar Martyrdom in Seferihisar district of İzmir for burial.
