TORTURED AND DEPRIVED OF MEDICAL TREATMENT

In a statement by the Palestinian Prisoners Association and the Palestinian Prisoners Affairs Commission, it was announced that 63-year-old Mustafa Muhammed Ebu Arra, who was imprisoned in Ramon Prison in southern Israel, was taken to the hospital due to the deterioration of his health and died. It was emphasized that Arra was subjected to torture after being arrested on October 30 and deprived of medical treatment. It was stated that at least 18 Palestinians have lost their lives under Israeli supervision since the attacks on Gaza started on October 7.

SERIOUS HEALTH PROBLEMS

Meanwhile, Ebu Arra, one of the Hamas leaders who has been arrested many times since 1990, was married and had 7 children. Arra, who resided in the town of Akkabe, affiliated with Tubas in the occupied West Bank, was re-arrested on October 30, 2023, despite having serious and chronic health problems requiring close medical supervision.

In a statement by the Hamas Movement, condolences were extended to Arra's family and relatives. The statement said, "We mourn the death of the leader and prisoner Mustafa Muhammed Ebu Arra and hold the occupiers (Israel) responsible for his killing through intentional medical negligence. Hamas emphasizes that this heinous crime was committed within the framework of the occupiers' ongoing war of destruction and systematic killings."
