The most popular tourist cities in the world have been revealed. Paris was chosen as the most attractive city in the world, while Bangkok ranked first in terms of international visitor numbers. Turkey ranked 5th on the list, with Antalya coming in 8th.
The 2025 Top 100 City Destinations Index report by Euromonitor International has been published. Paris has been chosen as the most attractive city in the world, while Bangkok topped the list in terms of international visitor numbers. Istanbul and Antalya from Turkey managed to enter the top 10.
PARIS CROWNED FOR THE FIFTH TIME
According to the report, Paris outperformed its competitors in many metrics, from tourism performance to sustainability, economic indicators to safety. Following Paris in the list of most attractive cities are Madrid, Tokyo, Rome, and Milan. Barcelona climbed two spots to eighth place, while Amsterdam ranked seventh.
LONDON DROPPED TO 18TH PLACE
In contrast, London fell to 18th place due to declines in tourism policies, safety, and sustainability, despite its strong scores in tourism infrastructure.

TWO CITIES FROM TURKEY ON THE LIST
In 2025, the city with the highest number of international visitors was Bangkok, with 30.3 million tourists. Bangkok was followed by Hong Kong, London, and Macau.
Istanbul and Antalya from Turkey achieved significant success on the list. Istanbul ranked fifth in the world with 19.7 million visitors. Antalya secured the eighth position with 18.6 million visitors.

According to the report, the top 10 cities by international visitor numbers in 2025 are as follows:

- 6- Dubai – 19.5 million
- 7- Mecca – 18.7 million

The strong position of Istanbul and Antalya in the world rankings once again highlights Turkey's influence in global tourism. The ability of both cities to maintain high tourist numbers indicates that Turkey has made a strong entry into the 2025 season.
