In our last Cabinet meeting, we announced the important news that we have declared 2025 as the Family Year to our nation. We stated that throughout the year, we would carry out significant work under the coordination of our relevant ministry to protect and strengthen the family institution and to pass our values on to future generations.

One of our top priorities is to support the activities we will carry out within the framework of the Family Year with effective and efficient population policies and to carry them to a strong and sustainable ground in the long term. On December 25, we established two important institutions that will operate under our Ministry of Family. We have specialized the Family Institute and the Population Policies Council. The first meeting was held on Thursday, January 9, at our Complex.

As clearly stated in Article 41 of our Constitution, the family is the foundation of society. In other words, the family is a small society, and society is a large family. The family has always played a vital role in weaving the social and cultural fabric. The family institution, which constitutes the essence and core of society, is of indispensable importance for us in preserving our national and spiritual values.

We see that during periods when the social consciousness shaped around the family institution is high, both the state and the nation hold a strong position. It is our duty to protect, fortify, and pass on our family structure as a legacy to the next generations. If we want to strengthen the family, it is clear that we must start with the family members. The stronger the foundation is laid, the stronger the building will be. At the same time, it will be more durable. It is extremely important for our children to be raised with knowledge, manners, and good morals both within the family and in educational institutions."
