Among the 12 people arrested in connection with the murder, a case was opened against 4 of them at the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court. In the indictment prepared by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated that Salim Güran, the uncle of Narin, who had DNA and hair samples belonging to Narin in his vehicle, along with his mother Yüksel Güran, his brother Enes Güran, and their neighbor Nevzat Bahtiyar, who confessed to moving the body to the stream bed after being detained, were found to be in the same house at the time of the incident according to HTS and base station records. An aggravated life sentence was requested for the crime of "intentional killing of a child in participation."
UNCLE ERHAN GÜRAN, SHEPHERD AND CHILD WORKER WILL BE HEARD
In the additional decision taken for the second hearing, it was decided to hear 3 people, 1 of whom is in custody, as "witnesses" in line with the requests of the defendants' lawyers. In the decision made by the court, it was ordered to forcibly bring uncle Erhan Güran and shepherd A.A. (33) to the hearing, while a decision was made to summon the detained suspect, 15-year-old child R.A., who is the worker of uncle Salim Güran, from prison. In the footage submitted to the court, questions were asked to uncle Erhan Güran during a meeting held at his home, and later, the images of shepherd A.A. they sent were revealed. R.A., the worker of uncle Salim Güran, was removed from the courtroom when he said, "I do not want to testify" during the first hearing.
A DECISION IS EXPECTED FROM THE HEARING
One day before the discovery of Narin Güran's lifeless body, the footage containing conversations in Turkish and Kurdish from the meeting held in front of Erhan Güran's house was examined by the National Criminal Bureau, and the expert report prepared was also sent to the court. Before the hearing, where a decision is expected, extensive security measures will be taken around the courtroom and courthouse.
WHAT HAPPENED?
Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the central Bağlar district of Diyarbakır, was found dead in the Eğertutmaz Stream on September 8.
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 12 out of 23 suspects, including mother Yüksel, brother Enes, uncle Salim Güran, and neighbors Nevzat Bahtiyar, were arrested.
The investigation against Yüksel, Enes, and Salim Güran, as well as Nevzat Bahtiyar, was completed, and the indictment prepared with a request for aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of "intentional killing of a child in participation" was accepted by the Diyarbakır 8th High Criminal Court on October 23.
The trial of the defendants began on November 7, and the first hearing, which lasted 3 days, was postponed to December 26 after the decision to continue the detention of the defendants.
After the first hearing, the public prosecutor submitted a 14-page opinion to the court during the interim session.
