Hezbollah launched a ballistic missile at the Mossad headquarters: The group targeted the Tel Aviv base as revenge for the pager bomb attacks while preparing for a possible ground war with Israel in Lebanon.

Hezbollah stated on Wednesday that it launched a ballistic missile targeting the Mossad headquarters near Tel Aviv while its fighters were preparing for a possible ground war with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Lebanon.

This is the first time the group has claimed a ballistic missile attack in its war with Israel, which began after Hamas's attack on October 7 and has been ongoing for nearly a year.

Hezbollah's statement said, "The Islamic Resistance launched a 'Qadir 1' ballistic missile targeting the Mossad headquarters in the suburbs of Tel Aviv at 06:30 (03:30 GMT) on Wednesday."

It added, "This headquarters is responsible for the assassinations of leaders and the detonations of pagers and radio devices." This statement referred to attacks last week that resulted in the deaths of dozens of people, including a senior commander, in Lebanon.

Israel reported that its air defense intercepted a Hezbollah missile after sirens sounded in Tel Aviv. No casualties were reported.
