Similarly, British Airways has decided to suspend its flights to Tel Aviv and Amman for two days. The German airline Lufthansa announced that the cancellation of flights to and from Israel has been extended until October 14. This decision will also apply to other airlines in the Lufthansa group, including Austrian Airlines, Swiss Air, Brussels Airlines, and Eurowings. According to Haaretz, despite all these cancellations, an Israeli Airports Authority spokesperson stated that Ben Gurion Airport is operating as usual for both arrivals and departures, and no flights have been redirected to other countries. MERCAYUN UNDER FIREThe Israeli army launched an attack on the Mercayun region, which is part of the city of Nabatiyeh in southern Lebanon. Smoke was seen rising from the area following the attack. TEMPORARY SHELTERS ESTABLISHED IN LEBANONIn Lebanon, which is under heavy bombardment from Israel, people are searching for places to escape the bombs. Lebanese Environment Minister Nasser Yassin, who is coordinating the crisis in the region, told Reuters that 89 temporary shelters have been established in schools and other facilities. The minister stated that the shelters have the capacity to accommodate more than 26,000 people fleeing from 'Israeli atrocities.'
