Fenerbahçe's sale of En-Nesyri to Al-Ittihad for 15 million euros disappointed Sevilla, which was expecting a share from the subsequent sale; the Spanish club did not generate any income from this transfer.
Fenerbahçe sent Youssef En-Nesyri to the Saudi Arabian representative Al-Ittihad for a transfer fee of 15 million euros, and this transfer caused great disappointment in Spain, especially on the Sevilla front.
The Moroccan striker, whose connection with the yellow-navy club was on the verge of breaking, headed to Al-Ittihad as part of the N'Golo Kanté transfer process. With this sale, Fenerbahçe generated significant transfer income, while En-Nesyri's former club Sevilla did not achieve the expected profit.
SEVILLA COULD NOT RECEIVE A SHARE
According to a report in Sözcü; Sevilla had included a clause in the contract stating "10% share of the profit from the next sale" when selling En-Nesyri to Fenerbahçe. However, since Fenerbahçe sold the player without incurring a loss but also without making a profit, this clause did not come into play, and Sevilla did not receive any income.
In news reports from the Spanish press at the beginning of the season, it was stated that En-Nesyri could be sold for around 30 million euros and that Sevilla seriously needed the 10% share that would arise from this transfer. The sale to Al-Ittihad for 15 million euros completely dashed these expectations.
