Historic success from North Tunçelli in Paris 2024! They made a first in our Olympic history.

In the men's 1500-meter freestyle qualifiers held at Paris La Defense Arena, our 16-year-old athlete Kuzey Tunçelli finished his heat well ahead with a time of 14:45.27, securing his spot in the final by ranking 5th overall.

MAKING HISTORY

Kuzey Tunçelli has become the first Turkish swimmer to reach the final in the history of the Olympic Games. The final races, in which Kuzey Tunçelli, the youngest athlete in Turkey's Olympic delegation, will compete, will take place tomorrow at 19:37 CET.

EMİR BATUR ALBAYRAK BIDS FAREWELL TO THE GAMES

In the 1500-meter freestyle qualifiers of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Emir Batur Albayrak, who competed in the same heat as Kuzey Tunçelli, failed to make it to the final. Finishing his heat in 6th place with a time of 15:23.21, Emir Batur Albayrak bid farewell to the games, ranking 23rd overall.
