In his statement, Şahin said, "It is well known that the just resolution of the Kurdish issue, which we have collectively experienced all kinds of negative consequences for over a century, is an urgent necessity. It is essential to guarantee the rights that Kurds possess as a nation and to restore the reputation they deserve on the historical stage. Their rights, especially in language, culture, art, literature, and social and economic aspects, should be provided unconditionally."
