The President of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and AK Party Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar met with members of the press at the Anatolian Broadcasters Federation and answered questions. Akar stated that the possibility of the outbreak of World War III has been discussed for about 2 years.

Because there are many parameters. That’s why it takes a little time. The occupation of Denmark in World War II took 6 hours, just 6 hours. Therefore, this is no joke. Within this regulation, there are units; there are disciplinary boards, there are superiors. These schools, military academies are under the rector. There is a hierarchy. Within this hierarchy, the minister, the rector, and the institutions are working on the incident. Therefore, we need to wait for their decision with calmness. When we look at the theoretical part, there is movement there; but there is also a matter of place and time. I mean, would it be appropriate to read the National Anthem while everyone is standing in respect? No, it wouldn’t," he said.
