The International Criminal Court announced that it has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza. The ICC also issued an arrest warrant for Hamas leader Mohammed Deif. 4 COUNTRIES ANNOUNCED THEY WILL ENFORCE THE ARREST WARRANTAccording to a report by the Israeli news channel i24news, France and the Netherlands announced that they would enforce the arrest warrant issued for Netanyahu. Italy found the decision wrong but stated that both would be arrested if they came to the country, while Belgium also expressed its support for the decision. SUPPORT MESSAGE FROM ORBANIn response to the official statement from the four countries, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban issued a supportive statement. Orban said he would invite Netanyahu to his country despite the ICC's arrest warrant against him. Orban made statements on current issues to Hungarian State Radio. "I WILL INVITE NETANYAHU TO HUNGARY TODAY"Referring to the ICC's arrest decision against Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Orban described the court's decision as "pouring gasoline on the fire." He suggested that there should be a confrontation with the ICC's decision, stating, "Therefore, I will invite Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to Hungary today. If he comes, I will guarantee him that the ICC's decision will have no effect here and that we will not comply with its conditions." Orban noted that only Hungary-Israel bilateral relations would be discussed, expressing that this way, Netanyahu could engage in talks safely. The ICC announced yesterday that arrest warrants had been issued for Netanyahu and Gallant due to war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Gaza.
