It has been revealed that the father of the 19-year-old substance addict who killed 4 people in Bingöl wrote to CİMER in February, asking for help from President Erdoğan for his son. The grieving father, who said he couldn't cope with his son and wanted him to get rid of drugs, said, "Can't the state do anything without a murder or bloodshed? The state should not act helpless in this situation. Ultimately, I want my son to be treated as soon as possible."

GRIEVING FATHER WROTE TO CIMER

The details did not stop there. According to Bingöl Sürmanşet, it has been revealed that the father of the young man had informed the Presidency Communication Center (CIMER) about the situation and asked for help from President Erdoğan on February 21, 2024. In the letter to CIMER, the grieving father stated that he could no longer cope with his son and requested immediate treatment for him.

"I CAN NO LONGER COPE WITH MY SON"

The following statements were included in the application to CIMER: "Dear Mr. President. My son is 19 years old. He graduated from high school last year. In Bingöl, drugs and narcotics are very common among young people. My son has become addicted to this plague and I can no longer cope with it. I request our government officials to find a solution to this plague... I don't know how or where it comes from. I request our police officers to solve this problem. I can no longer cope with my son.

"HE ESCAPED FROM THE HOSPITAL AND CAME TO BINGÖL BAREFOOT"

He either broke or sold all our electronic devices at home. I previously applied to the prosecutor's office for him to be treated. They admitted him to the hospital, but I don't know what the situation is with the security at the hospital, he escaped from the (Mental and Nervous Diseases Hospital) in Elazığ and came to Bingöl barefoot. It seems like the security guards are passive in the fight against drugs with the understanding of "long live those who don't touch me."

"CAN'T THE STATE DO ANYTHING WITHOUT A MURDER?"

This plague has now reached middle school levels in Bingöl. I want him to be treated, but the health and prosecutor's office say they cannot do anything without his consent. What can I do as a father? Can't the state do anything without a murder or bloodshed? The state should not act helpless in this situation. Ultimately, I want my son to be treated as soon as possible. I want him to be convinced through a psychologist and be saved from this plague. I request that the necessary actions be taken urgently."
