New footage has emerged regarding 14-year-old İsa Aras Mersinli, who entered Ayser Çalık Middle School in Kahramanmaraş with 5 guns belonging to his father, killing 8 students and 1 teacher.

CLASSMATE'S DISTURBING ACCOUNT
On the other hand, the statements of G. İ., a student at the school who studied in the same class as İsa Aras Mersinli, also made a significant impact. G. İ. stated that Mersinli had no friends and exhibited strange behaviors in class, saying: “He generally slept because he spent the whole night on the internet. Then sometimes he would get up during English classes. His English was quite good, better than his Turkish. For example, if the teacher couldn't remember the meaning of an English word in English class, he would ask İsa, and he would tell the teacher. Then what would he do? He would cry; he would cry when the class was quiet, and you could hear his crying. Then our guidance teacher would come and take him to the guidance room, where he would talk.

It was like he had psychological issues. For example, we were supposed to sing the National Anthem on Friday. He was sleeping again. Then the friends held him by the arm and brought him out. While reading, he suddenly collapsed to the ground as if he had fainted, and he lay there like that. I remember that. Then when he was sad about something in class, he would cut his hand or arm with a pen, and his desk would be covered in blood. His desk, his bag, everything would be filled with blood. He would choke himself. In fifth grade, he had wrapped his bag around his neck. He had choked himself, you know. He was a different kind of child. In fact, he had two friends from our class that he talked to. He told them that he would do such things. He said something like, ‘I will attack the class, the school with a gun.’ They laughed, thinking he was joking. I know he said it a few days before the attack; that’s what they told me.”

A shooting attack was carried out at Ayser Çalık Middle School located in the Oniki Şubat district of Kahramanmaraş. In the attack carried out by 16-year-old İsa Aras Mersinli, 9 people, including one teacher, lost their lives, and 17 others were injured. It was determined that the attacker used 5 guns belonging to his father, who was at home during the incident. Following developments, the father, Uğur Mersinli, who was taken into custody, was arrested.
