In Şanlıurfa, municipal inspection teams found shampoo that expired 5 years ago, spoiled and moldy food, and products with altered labels during market inspections. Legal action was taken against the businesses.
In inspections carried out by municipal police teams in markets in Şanlıurfa, numerous expired products were seized. Among the products, the fact that some had expired 5 years ago made one say 'this is too much'.
Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality municipal police teams continue their inspections of markets across the city without interruption. In the latest inspections aimed at protecting public health, it was determined that expired products had their labels changed and were offered for sale again.

In the checks conducted by the teams, it was found that in some markets, old labels on expired products were removed and replaced with new date labels. While legal action was taken against businesses for this practice aimed at misleading consumers, the products with altered dates were removed from sale.
EXPIRATION DATES EXCEEDED BY 5 YEARS
During the inspections, shampoos that had expired 3 to 5 years ago were also seized. While many cosmetic products threatening public health were confiscated by municipal police teams, it was stated that expired shampoos could cause health issues such as skin irritation, allergic reactions, infection risk, and hair loss.
REACHED A FATAL LEVEL
In the teams' inspections, spoiled and moldy foods that could be fatal to human health were also found. Seeing the mold on packaged döner-style meat products, the municipal police teams could not believe their eyes.
Teams from the Metropolitan Municipality Municipal Police Department stated that no concessions would be made against products threatening public health, and inspections would continue uninterruptedly at markets, chain stores, and sales points across the city.
