The amount of cargo and freight transported at our airports in September reached 478 thousand 803 tons, with 85 thousand 108 tons in domestic flights and 393 thousand 695 tons in international flights," he stated.

Emphasizing that the aircraft traffic served at the end of September 2024 showed an increase of 5.9% compared to the same period of 2023, Uraloğlu stated, "Our airports across Turkey served 72 million 949 thousand 528 passengers in domestic flights and 104 million 186 thousand 201 passengers in international flights, while a total of 177 million 346 thousand 498 passengers used our airports, including direct transit passengers. The number of passengers served increased by 5.7% in domestic flights and 9% in international flights, with a total passenger traffic increase of 7.5% compared to the same period last year." Uraloğlu reported that the amount of cargo and freight transported at airports during this period reached a total of 3 million 712 thousand 255 tons, with 682 thousand 730 tons in domestic flights and 3 million 29 thousand 526 tons in international flights, marking an increase of 11.2% compared to the same period in 2023.

ISTANBUL AIRPORT CARRIED 60 MILLION 659 THOUSAND PASSENGERS IN 9 MONTHS

Minister Uraloğlu noted that at Istanbul Airport, one of Turkey's mega projects, the aircraft traffic in September reached a total of 44 thousand 894, with 10 thousand 419 in domestic flights and 34 thousand 475 in international flights, stating, "At Istanbul Airport, we served a total of 7 million 248 thousand 952 passengers, with 1 million 600 thousand 230 in domestic flights and 5 million 648 thousand 722 in international flights. The passenger traffic served this month showed an increase of 3% compared to the same month of 2023." Uraloğlu stated that during the 9-month period, a total of 391 thousand 489 aircraft traffic occurred at Istanbul Airport, with 90 thousand 616 in domestic flights and 300 thousand 873 in international flights, adding, "We served a total of 60 million 659 thousand 88 passengers, with 13 million 258 thousand 640 in domestic flights and 47 million 400 thousand 448 in international flights. Uraloğlu noted that during the 9-month period, a total of 180 thousand 349 aircraft traffic was served, with 83 thousand 406 in domestic flights and 96 thousand 943 in international flights. He reported that a total of 30 million 971 thousand 698 passengers were served, with 14 million 761 thousand 953 in domestic flights and 16 million 209 thousand 745 in international flights, stating that by the end of September 2024, the total aircraft traffic increased by 6% and passenger traffic increased by 13% compared to the same period in 2023. He noted that the passenger traffic at these airports reached 49 million 103 thousand 752 during the first 9 months of 2024, stating that at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, 5 million 60 thousand 280 passengers were served in domestic flights and 3 million 762 thousand 135 in international flights, totaling 8 million 822 thousand 415 passengers. Uraloğlu mentioned that at Antalya Airport, the number of domestic passengers was 5 million 34 thousand 278 and the number of international passengers was 25 million 882 thousand 431, totaling 30 million 916 thousand 709.
