In a horrific incident in Kastamonu, the man who killed his mother committed suicide.

In the incident that occurred on Ahmet Yesevi Street in the Yeni Mahalle of İhsangazi, Kastamonu, relatives in Istanbul who could not reach Özkan Gebeşoğlu and his mother Şaizer Gebeşoğlu asked their neighbors to check the house. Neighbors who went to the house reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center when they did not hear any sounds from inside. Upon the notification, police teams who arrived at the scene entered the house through the window with the help of a fire truck's ladder when no one answered the door. The police teams who entered found the mother and son shot dead.

In the examination conducted by the crime scene investigation team and the public prosecutor, it was determined that Özkan Gebeşoğlu shot his mother and then committed suicide with the same gun. After the examinations, the bodies of the mother and son were taken to the morgue. Meanwhile, it was learned that Özkan Gebeşoğlu had been suffering from psychological problems for a long time.
