Faruk Kodek, who also said they work as brokers in the vegetable market, said, 'If we had sold watermelons this way normally, we wouldn't have had anywhere to put the money.'
HE DISTRIBUTED THE SEASON'S LAST WATERMELONS TO THE PUBLIC
Kodek, 32, who said that watermelons, which were abundant this year, were sold at reasonable prices throughout the summer, said, 'We wanted to distribute the season's last watermelons we had brought from Muş to our people without selling them. We sold watermelons to the people of Amasya for years. We earned money thanks to the people. We had started the watermelon season sweetly. We also closed it sweetly. If we don't die and see those days next year, I promise I will distribute again.'
THANKS FROM CITIZENS
Nevin Karaböcek, who congratulated the vendor who received prayers, also said, 'Well done. We would like our big vendors in the market to distribute in this way. If 10 vendors like this emerged, our Amasya would not be brought to its knees.'
Tolga Güven, President of the Amasya Market Vendors Association, who participated in the watermelon distribution, congratulated his members, for whom he wished good earnings, for their exemplary behavior.
