After President Erdoğan's statement of determination in the fight against illegal gambling, saying, "We have put forward a comprehensive action plan, we will eradicate it," 111 people were detained in operations conducted in 41 provinces.
In a simultaneous operation carried out in 41 provinces centered in Diyarbakır, 111 suspects were detained.
Under the coordination of the Cyber Crime Department and the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the Cyber Crime Branch of the Diyarbakır Police Department conducted an operation targeting the crimes of "facilitating the transfer of money related to illegal betting" and "money laundering of assets derived from crime."
TRANSACTION VOLUME OF 35 BILLION TL
In the MASAK report within the scope of the investigation, it was determined that the transaction volumes amounted to 35 billion 861 million 796 thousand 103 lira and 52 kuruş. A total of 111 suspects were detained as part of the operation.
9 CARS AND LAND SEIZED
Within the file, 190 bank and cryptocurrency accounts were examined, and 9 cars, a motorcycle, and 2 plots of land, valued at approximately 10 million 750 thousand lira, which were assessed as obtained from the crime by 14 suspects, were seized.
