HE DEMANDED MONEY AND ATTACKED WITH FISTS
The incident occurred on the evening of April 28 on Ulucanlar Street in the Altındağ district. According to allegations, Serkan Aytaç demanded money from Zafer Savun, whom he encountered on the sidewalk. Then the suspect attacked the elderly man, knocking Savun to the ground with punches.
In the footage reflected on the security camera, Savun, who was struggling to climb the steps on the sidewalk, was seen crying out for help during the attack. It was learned that while the elderly man was shouting "Help," the suspect also yelled at a passerby, "Keep walking, get out of here."
HE TOOK THE WALLET AND COUNTED THE MONEY
The moments when the attacker removed the wallet from the coat of Zafer Savun, whom he had knocked to the ground, and counted the money inside were also captured on camera. While the suspect was taking the wallet containing 7,000 lira, Savun was heard saying, "Let it go now, there's no more."
It was reported that Serkan Aytaç continued to beat the elderly man with kicks and punches, and then picked Savun up and threw him against a wall. After the attack, which lasted approximately 4 minutes, the suspect fled the scene.
15 CRIMINAL RECORDS FOUND
Upon reports from nearby citizens, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. Zafer Savun, who received initial treatment at the scene, was taken to the hospital. It was learned that he was discharged after treatment.
Police teams quickly apprehended Serkan Aytaç, whose identity was identified from security camera footage. It was determined that the suspect had 15 separate criminal records, and after processing at the police station, he was arrested by the court to which he was referred.
