The incident occurred on the 4th floor of a 5-story building located on Yunus Emre Street in the Hürriyet neighborhood of Pamukkale, Denizli. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in the house of a Syrian family living on the 4th floor due to the stove. K.J. and his brother F.J. (9), who managed to escape from the flames engulfing the house, went downstairs to seek help. Their mother, Esraa Alalo (26), tried to extinguish the fire. Realizing that she could not put out the fire, Esraa Alalo attempted to leave the apartment with her 1-year-old baby A.J., who was sleeping in the bedroom. While trying to exit the apartment holding her baby, Alalo was unable to escape due to the couch at the entrance catching fire. With the flames rapidly engulfing the house, Esraa Alalo took refuge in the bedroom and called for help from the citizens waiting below.

THREW HER BABY FROM THE 4TH FLOOR

Seeing that the citizens below were holding out a blanket, mother Esraa Alalo wrapped her 1-year-old baby A.J. in the blanket. She then lowered her baby out of the window and dropped him towards the citizens waiting below. Upon receiving reports from the surrounding citizens, fire, police, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. While the medical teams intervened with 1-year-old A.J., who had burns on his back and legs, the fire crews worked hard to control the flames engulfing the apartment. The 1-year-old baby with burns on his body was taken to the hospital by the medical teams. The father, Abdulbasett Jebbi (36), a textile worker, could not hold back his tears upon arriving at the scene. The helpless father was consoled by his relatives while waiting for the recovery of his wife's lifeless body.

COULD NOT ESCAPE DUE TO FAINTING

The fire crews quickly brought the flames under control and began efforts to rescue mother Esraa Alalo. During the checks conducted by the fire crews, mother Esraa Alalo was found dead in front of the bedroom window. After the cooling efforts in the house, investigations were carried out by the crime scene investigation team, the fire department, and the public prosecutor. According to initial determinations, it is believed that the woman fainted due to smoke inhalation, which prevented her from escaping. The exact cause of the fire, which is thought to have originated from the stove, will be clarified by a definitive report prepared by the expert committee. A citizen who witnessed the incident, Ahmet Sevim, said, "A child came and said, 'Help, there is a fire.' After the child shouted, flames suddenly appeared. A woman at the window had wrapped her child in a blanket. Those below were telling the woman to throw the child. Just as she was about to throw the child, she fainted. When the woman fell inside, the child also fell down. They caught the child below." After the investigations, Esraa Alalo's lifeless body was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy. An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
