Following the detection of avian influenza at a chicken farm in the Sivrihisar district of Eskişehir, 5 neighborhoods in the district have been quarantined. Teams from the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry initiated work after deaths were reported at the chicken farm.
During the investigations, it was determined that chickens were brought to the farm from the Çeltik district of Konya, where avian influenza cases had previously been reported. Additionally, avian influenza was found in the deceased chickens. ALL POULTRY WILL BE CULLEDTeams have quarantined the farm and the 5 surrounding neighborhoods. Furthermore, it has been learned that the poultry in the mentioned neighborhoods will be culled, and payments will be made to the owners in exchange for the culling.
