In Gebze, 7 trucks and 1 excavator fell down due to a landslide.

A landslide occurred at the excavation dumping site located in the Kirazpınar neighborhood of Gebze district in Kocaeli, and a disaster was averted. Seven excavation trucks and one excavator were dragged down due to the landslide.

ONE PERSON INJURED

One driver was injured in the shoulder while trying to exit the vehicle. The other drivers, who did not exit their vehicles, waited to be rescued. Firefighters, AFAD, health, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification.

The drivers were rescued with the joint efforts of AFAD and firefighting teams. It was learned that the health condition of the injured driver, who was taken to the hospital as a precaution, is good.

VEHICLES REMOVED FROM THEIR LOCATION

The trucks and excavator were removed from their location with the help of construction machinery. The fact that the vehicles did not overturn during the incident prevented a possible disaster.
