In an operation in Istanbul, 2 stolen cars valued at 110 million euros and auto spare parts illegally brought from abroad were seized, and 2 suspects were detained.
Officials from the Istanbul Police Department's Smuggling Crimes Unit conducted an operation against individuals identified as profiting unfairly by selling products illegally brought from abroad.
In operations carried out on December 19 and January 3 at workplaces and warehouses located in Kadıköy and Beykoz, 2 suspects were caught. During the searches, 2 smuggled luxury vehicles with a market value of approximately 110 million euros, 51 vehicle bumpers, 27 vehicle hoods, 61 headlights, 96 taillights, 36 fenders, 20 shock absorbers, 78 vehicle doors, and 118 various auto spare parts were seized. Legal action was taken against the detained suspects for "violating the Law No. 5607 on the Fight Against Smuggling."
