In a housewares store in Izmir, citizens wanting to buy discounted products for the grand opening trampled over each other. Footage captured by a mobile phone camera showed a woman falling to the ground amidst the crowd.

A newly opened housewares store in the Ertuğrul neighborhood of Bergama district in İzmir organized a special discount campaign for its opening. Citizens who heard about the discount began to wait in front of the store from early morning hours.

THEY TRAMPLED EACH OTHER FOR CHEAP PLATES AND CUPS

Citizens wanting to buy products such as plates, cups, forks, knives, trays, and pitchers at low prices trampled each other as soon as the store opened its doors. Footage captured by the store owner's mobile phone showed that employees caught in the crowd also experienced difficult moments.

A WOMAN FELL TO THE GROUND

The footage highlighted that there was also a child among the crowd, and it captured the moment when a woman lost her balance and fell to the ground in the chaos.
