THEY DISMEMBERED THE BODY INTO 7 PIECES AND KEPT IT IN A DEEP FREEZER FOR 11 YEARS According to the information obtained, the incident came to light on May 16, 2025, in an apartment on 11th Street in Çalılıöz Neighborhood. The landlord, having been unable to reach the tenant for a long time, had the door opened with the help of a locksmith to check the apartment. Upon inspecting the deep freezer in the apartment, the landlord encountered a dismembered human body and reported the situation to the police. Following the report, an investigation was initiated by the Kırıkkale Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. During the studies and criminal examinations conducted by the Provincial Police Department's Public Order Branch Directorate under the coordination of the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was assessed that the body had been dismembered into 7 pieces and preserved in the deep freezer for approximately 11 years. In the identification efforts, it was definitively determined that the body belonged to Hüseyin Okumuşoğlu, for whom a missing person report had been filed in 2014.
STATEMENTS FROM 98 PEOPLE WERE TAKEN The investigation was deepened under the coordination of the Department for Investigation of Unsolved Crimes, established within the General Directorate of Criminal Affairs of the Ministry of Justice. Within the scope of the file, statements were taken from 98 people, and correspondence was carried out with 112 different institutions and organizations. Cell ID, LAC, and TAC analyses of the GSM lines belonging to the suspects were conducted. License Plate Recognition System records and all accessible camera footage were examined one by one. Information was gathered from numerous individuals and institutions, ranging from car rental companies to parking lot attendants.
OPERATION AGAINST 17 SUSPECTS AFTER APPROXIMATELY 12 YEARS Following months of technical and physical investigations, the identities of 17 suspects believed to be connected to Okumuşoğlu's murder were determined. A simultaneous dawn operation was conducted at the addresses identified by the Public Order Branch Directorate teams. During the simultaneous operations carried out in Kırıkkale, Ankara, and Aydın by the Public Order Branch Directorate teams, 17 suspects were detained. It was learned that the suspects would be referred to the courthouse after their procedures at the police station.
