A natural gas explosion occurred for an unknown reason in an apartment on the fourth floor of a 5-story building located on Ayyıldız Street in the Mevlana neighborhood of Gebze, Kocaeli. As a result of the explosion, 7 people, including children, were injured.

3 BUILDINGS DAMAGED IN THE EXPLOSION

Upon notification, a large number of fire and medical teams were dispatched to the area. The injured individuals were taken out of the building by fire crews and transported to nearby hospitals by ambulances. Meanwhile, significant damage occurred on the floor where the explosion took place. The explosion also damaged 3 surrounding buildings. 6 vehicles were damaged by debris that fell from the building. Police teams established a security cordon at the scene.
