As ticket prices increased, cauliflower hit rock bottom!

The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) announced the retail price changes for November. According to the data published by ITO, the product with the highest price increase in Istanbul in November was cinema and theater tickets, while the largest decrease was observed in cauliflower.

When examining the price movements of the 336 products included in the İTO retail price index; there was an increase in 178 products and a decrease in 57 products. No price change was observed in the remaining products.

CINEMA AND THEATER TICKETS AT THE TOP OF THE LIST

The product with the highest price increase in November was cinema and theater tickets, with an increase of 13%. This item was followed by:

10.57% for lentils,

8.70% for margarine,

8.47% for peanut butter,

7.87% for dried beans,

7.62% for wafers,

6.91% for oranges.

OTHER PRODUCTS THAT CAUGHT ATTENTION WITH PRICE INCREASE:

Toys (6.74%)

Olive oil (6.70%)

Packed powdered desserts (6.70%)

Jam (6.57%)

Rice (6.49%)

were included. Additionally, an increase of 6.18% was recorded in canned corn, 5.83% in shampoo, 5.48% in frozen pastries, and 5.13% in chickpeas.

SHARP DROP IN CAULIFLOWER PRICE: 45.91%

The product with the largest price drop in November was cauliflower, with a decrease of 45.91%. The following products followed the decline seen in vegetable prices:

Curly lettuce (26.67%)

Green beans (20.35%)

Airline tickets (17.02%)

Leeks (15.92%)

Spinach (13.25%)

Lemon (13.21%)

Stuffed peppers (11.84%)

The price movements in November marked a period where both increases and decreases were distinctly felt, especially in food products.
