In Diyarbakır, a mentally disabled individual named R.B. (30) attacked an ambulance carrying a patient with a stone and fled. It has been reported that R.B. has attacked ambulances with stones 73 times this year, and efforts have been initiated to capture him.

In Diyarbakır, mentally disabled R.B. attacked an ambulance that was transporting an injured person from a motorcycle accident on Mehmet Uzun Street in the Bağcılar neighborhood of the Bağlar district. The side window of the ambulance was broken, while R.B. escaped. The health teams reported the situation to the police. A search has been initiated to capture R.B., who has been complained about by the healthcare workers.

ATTACKED 73 TIMES IN A YEAR

In the investigation conducted by the police, it was determined that R.B. has 197 criminal records and has been continuously trying to damage ambulances he sees in the district, having attacked ambulances with stones 73 times in the last year.

"ALMOST MY FRIENDS WOULD HAVE BEEN HARMED"

İhsan Yıldırım, the Diyarbakır Provincial President of the Turkish Health-Sen, stated that mentally disabled R.B. needs to be treated, saying, "Today around 3:00 PM, while healthcare workers were transporting a patient with an ambulance in the Yenişehir district, a citizen named R.B. attacked the ambulance and broke the window. Almost my friends would have been harmed. Unfortunately, this is not the first time. He has attacked ambulances 73 times this year. Measures need to be taken regarding this. This individual needs to be hospitalized as soon as possible. Our ambulances serve the public. They carry lives. It could have hit healthcare workers or the driver could have had an accident," he said.
