In Şanlıurfa, a car overturned, and a father and his son lost their lives.

A terrible accident occurred on the 12th kilometer of the Hilvan-Siverek highway in Şanlıurfa. The car with license plate 31 APK 111, driven by pharmacist Ceyhun Kafadenk (36), overturned into the ditch after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.

FATHER AND SON LOST THEIR LIVES

Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of the surrounding people. Initial checks by the health teams determined that Ceyhun Kafadenk and his 6-month-old son Mehmet Akif had lost their lives. Fatma Kafadenk (28), who was seriously injured in the accident, was taken to Hilvan State Hospital for treatment after the first intervention.

MOTHER'S CONDITION CRITICAL

The bodies of the father and son were taken to the Şanlıurfa Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy. It was reported that Fatma Kafadenk's life-threatening condition continues.

The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the accident.
