Armed opposition groups that launched an operation against the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria have captured Tel Rifaat after Aleppo and Idlib. DEVELOPMENTS IN SYRIAOn November 27, clashes began between Assad regime forces and anti-regime armed groups in the western countryside of Aleppo province in northern Syria. On November 28, anti-regime armed groups rapidly advanced from the western countryside of Aleppo towards the center, capturing a large part of the center by November 30. On November 30, armed groups took control of the Khan Shaykhun district, establishing dominance throughout Idlib. The Syrian National Army is also continuing its advance in Hama province, while on December 1, it launched the Operation Dawn of Freedom against the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in the rural areas of Aleppo, liberating the district center of Tel Rifaat from terrorism.
