The Ministry of National Defense reported that 34 terrorist targets were destroyed in the air operation conducted in Hakurk, Gara, Kandil, and Sinjar in northern Iraq, and that a large number of terrorists were neutralized. 34 TARGETS DESTROYED AT MIDNIGHTIn a statement from the ministry, it was noted that an air operation was carried out on October 24 at 23:30 against terrorist targets in northern Iraq, in line with the legitimate right of self-defense arising from Article 51 of the United Nations Agreement, to neutralize PKK/KCK and other terrorist elements, to thwart terrorist attacks against the public and security forces, and to ensure border security. The statement included, "With the executed air operation, 34 targets consisting of caves, shelters, hideouts, depots, and facilities used by the terrorist organization, which are assessed to include responsible-level terrorists, were destroyed." It was stated that a large number of terrorists were neutralized using domestic and national ammunition to the maximum extent during the operation, and it was emphasized, "The Turkish Armed Forces, which emerged from our noble nation, will continue to fight against terrorism with determination and resolve until not a single terrorist remains, just as in the past, for the survival and security of our country and nation. During these operations, all necessary precautions were taken to ensure that innocent civilians, friendly elements, historical and cultural assets, and the environment were not harmed."
