A 7.6 magnitude earthquake occurred off the coast of Misawa, Japan. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was located 73 kilometers northeast of the Misawa area in Aomori Prefecture. There have been no reports of casualties or property damage due to the earthquake.
TSUNAMI WARNING ISSUED
Following the 7.6 magnitude earthquake recorded at a depth of approximately 53 kilometers, a tsunami warning was issued. The warning stated that wave heights could reach up to 3 meters and could hit the shore multiple times.
