In the corruption investigation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), Ziya Gökmen Togay, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of İSTAÇ, along with businessmen İhsan Mengir and Yücel Mengir, were released after giving statements under the provisions of effective remorse.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is continuing its corruption investigation against suspects, including Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was arrested and removed from his position as the Mayor of Istanbul, on charges of "being a leader of a criminal organization," "being a member of a criminal organization," "bribery," "extortion," "qualified fraud," "illegally obtaining personal data," and "interfering with a tender."
RELEASE OF 3 SUSPECTS
As part of the investigation, Ziya Gökmen Togay, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of İSTAÇ, along with businessmen İhsan Mengir and Yücel Mengir, provided statements under the effective remorse provisions. The three suspects were released by the peace criminal court following their statements.
