In Istanbul, the trial of 47 defendants, who are accused of transferring emergency infant patients to private hospitals with which they had previously agreed, leading to their deaths and unjust profits, continues on its 7th day. The hearing, held in the conference hall of the courthouse by the Bakırköy 22nd High Criminal Court, was attended by 22 detained defendants, including organized crime leader Fırat Sarı, as well as some defendants who are not in custody and the lawyers of the parties. Many members of the press also attended the hearing as spectators. A FIRST IN THE TRIAL Starting from Monday, November 18, the hearing, in which the defenses of the 22 detained defendants were completed, moved on to taking statements from the defendants who are not in custody. Prof. Dr. Fetin Rüştü Yıldız, who is held responsible for the death of a baby, was brought to the defendant's stand. For the first time in this trial, a chief physician gave a statement. CONFESSED THE MONEY THEY PAID "I have no fault regarding the death that occurred. I would like to state that as a chief physician, I do not have the opportunity to control what everyone does one by one. It has been understood by the prosecution as if I was aware of the actions in question," said Yıldız, confessing his collaboration with Fırat Sarı, admitting that they agreed on a 20% rate and that they paid 364,000 TL.
